"init, innit", relief etching
image size 16 X 10 cm.
I like the way language changes, words dropping from usage and new ones appearing, then combine that with my interesting William Morris and the Kelmscott press and you have the illuminated capital word "Init". After some debate on Facebook as to how you should spell "init", or "innit" as the OED has it, I plumped for "init" as it looked better on the page. Made for the "favourite word" exhibition in the 2015 E17 Arts Trial.
It originated as a pen drawing with ink wash, but was always destined to become a relief etching, in the tradition of that other inspiration, William Blake.
Also available as a card.
